Peruvian food is really great! Maybe even the best food of South America… Well, we can always argue about taste and who has the best food… But for sure is that Peruvian food is really tasteful. So why not join a Peruvian cooking class and learn how to cook a real Peruvian tasty meal under supervision of a professional Peruvian chef. You can choose the morning session to prepare lunch or the afternoon session to prepare dinner.

Tour description

Weather you join the morning session or afternoon session, you will start the cooking class with a visit to the fascinating local market of San Pedro together with the chef. Here you will buy some product that you will need and you will learn about the enormous variety of food products that Peru has to offer.

Then you will head to a cozy, yet a professional equipped cooking study located in a colonial house. Here you will start cooking under supervision of the chef a delicious Peruvian meal. After cooking it is time to eat. You will all enjoy your meal together in the dining room. Provecho! Enjoy!

What is on the menu?

Aperitif: Passion fruit Sour, Shake your own Pisco Sours and learn about the history behind our national cocktail.

Appetizer: Classic Peruvian ceviche. Our national dish done right.

Main dish: Modern Quinoa Risotto, Tri-colored quinoa and Peruvian yellow chili risotto topped with a perfect sous vide poached egg.

Dessert: Chirimoya and exotic fruits parfait, Have a taste of our best local fruits elegantly served as a parfait.

Moka brewed local coffee espressos, as a grand finale, have a taste of the best organic coffee produced in the Quillabamba valley.

Aperatif: Similar as lunch

Appetizer: Micuit Nikkei Style Tiradito, Ceviche with a modern twist; Sashimi style fish marinated in a Japanese/Peruvian ponzu, avocados, cushuros and sweet potato puree.

Main dish: Quinoa crusted sous vide alpaca tenderloin, with roasted native tubers in an smoked Andean chimichurri.

Dessert: Similar as lunch

Similar as lunch

Fish would be replaced with “Sweet cucumber”, a local fruit.

Meat would be replaced with mushrooms.

Professional bilingual chef (English and Spanish).

All ingredients and equipment.

Bottled water.

Not included:

Extra alcoholic drinks, but can be purchased on location.


Price of this cooking class is 70 USD per person in a group service.

It is also possible to do this cooking class in a private service. In this case the price will be:

2 or 3 persons: 115 USD per person.

4 or 5 persons: 80 USD per person.

6 to 8 persons: 69 USD per person.
